During an Oct. 8 meeting at the Schneebeli Earth Science Center, the Pennsylvania College of Technology Board of Directors approved parameters for the college's 2027-28 state budget request, granted emeritus status to longtime board member John Young, welcomed new board members and approved Rachel Smith as interim vice president for People & Culture. The board also elected officers and heard updates on shared governance, investments and new faculty.

Three new members have begun service on Pennsylvania College of Technology’s Board of Directors. The new directors are Robert Fenza, a member of the Penn State Board of Trustees; Ken Healy, executive vice president and director of engineering for PMF Industries Inc.; and Tracie L. Witter, key account manager for PPL Electric Utilities.

A longtime Pennsylvania College of Technology Board of Directors member was granted “director emeritus” status at the board’s Oct. 8 meeting. The board voted to approve the designation for John M. Young, who has served the college in various volunteer positions for 40 years, including more than 20 years on the Board of Directors before he retired from the position in June.

During the Pennsylvania College of Technology Board of Directors meeting on June 25, the board approved the college's 2026-27 budget and heard board member updates.

Pennsylvania College of Technology’s Board of Directors today approved a total budget of $185.9 million for 2026-27, a decrease of 1.8% over 2025-26; the college’s approved operating budget is $136.4 million, an increase of 1.55%.

David N. Wormley, a former member of the Penn College Board of Directors, died May 19 in Lancaster. He was 86.

Pennsylvania College of Technology’s Board of Directors on Thursday approved the college’s 2026-30 Strategic Plan, authorized the appointment of the firm to conduct the college’s audit for 2025-26, and approved revisions to a pair of policies.

Smith as Penn College’s vice president for college relations, and showcased presentations on athletics, student success and student advocacy.

During the Pennsylvania College of Technology Board of Directors meeting on Dec.4, the board accepted the Fiscal Year 2025 audited financial statements and authorized a list of banks to serve as depositories of college funds. The board also appointed Kyle A. Smith as interim vice president for college relations and approved the college’s mission, vision and values for 2026-30.
